Delicious food . The duck and chicken in particular were excellent. And amazing service maybe even the best I've had in London. Also corkage available for 40 a bottle . Worth the wait for sure

MoreWe visited Davies and Brook on Boxing Day for lunch. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel extremely welcome. We chose to have the 4 course menu so we could try a variety of dishes. The highlights were the marinated Yellow Tail as a cold starter, the Black Cod and Dry-Aged Duck mains although all the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. An amazing meal - can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic food and service
The cooking is faultless and it's probably the best food I'll eat all year but it just didn't really get me excited.There's something missing that stops me from being really happy with the food. It's some of the best cooking I've ever had but there's a spark missing.That said, easily 5 star restaurant and I'm too critical.Best dishes were the chawanmushi and donut. Only dish we didn't like was the duck which was overly spiced with cumin which unfortunately spoiled what was otherwise a perfect piece of duck.

Very good, professional service. Nice champagne. Decor is New York style, a bit too austere and lacking in warmth, with silly pictures of nearly identical hills.The tables are too close together, another New York import, you can hear too clearly your neighbours’ conversations...Not much “atmosphereâ€.My main problem with the food I had (carrot starter, turbot main, chocolate dessert) is how salty it all was. Whether in the amuse Boucher, the starter , or main or even the chocolate dessert ! Drowning in salt ! Maybe it’s the New York tastebuds ? I’m afraid I won’t repeat the experience.

MoreThe team at Davies & Brook exceeded my very high expectations. I was braced for disappointment but dinner and the whole experience were an honest 10/10 for me. I dined at Davies & Brook on their opening night when normally things go wrong, but not at D&B.Everything was impeccably curated, from the moment I reserved to when I left the venue. The food is superb (although I must admit I had the signature dishes, so I let them win easily!).I could have spent hours going through their very exciting wine list, and the sommelier went out of his way for me to get some Jura that was not available by the glass.The elegant setting and the wonderful and attentive staff complete the experience. I’m looking forward to be back at D&B soon!

Food was surprisingly inconsistent given the reputation, perhaps because a set menu.Rice porridge at start, presumably a nod to London's "international" character, but done better and more interestingly at numerous Japanese restaurants in the city. A fishy "cheesecake" served with caviar looked good but was just fishy and not much else on the palate. Beef Wellington with wonderfully cooked beef but flabby and practically inedible pastry. Chocolate dessert very good: satisfyingly chocolatey yet light and delicate.Wine list superb.Would go again to try the a la carte in case better, but won't rush.
MoreTonight we had one of the most amazing dinners ever at Davies and Brook. Studying Hospitality Management I really learned how the secret of successful hotels and restaurants is to go above and beyond and this restaurant does it perfectly! They knew I got my flight cancelled today and everybody from the staff made sure to make me feel welcome; when I had to choose my dessert, I was split between two of them and they got me both as a surprise; since we have to leave early in the morning, they gave us a homemade granola to bring home; last but not least, they prepared me a little envelope with wishes for my return and a safe flight! Just thank you thank you thank you for the wonderful evening 🇬🇧 Keep up with the good work and thanks for keeping such high standards in the hospitality business!

Absolute stunning meal. Well worth the wait for them to open. The decor is slightly lacking and feels quite bland including the staff uniforms. Everything about the food was stunning and beautifully presented. Not one of the items we ordered disappointed. Service was perfect, exactly the right balance of not being overbearing but still being attentive. The one mistake was when they brought one of the party the wrong dessert, however once they realised the error this was swiftly rectified. Am already looking forward to going here again.

MoreNever had a meal quite like it, it was amazing in every way. The mulled wine ice cream was incredible and the staff were excellent. It has to be one of the best restaurants in the UK already.
